Focus all development opportunities around rebuilding the abandoned properties we have already existing, before ever considering tearing down green space in the way of progress. More, better downtown housing options

Young, single, upwardly-mobile professionals are abundant in Central Arkansas; however, there are very few updated/modern yet affordable housing options for us in downtown Little Rock. I propose a mixed used development w condos in the $175-200k range, a grocery store like Whole Foods, restaurants, coffee shop, dry cleaning, drug store, etc somewhere in the Rivermarket or Main St areas. Passenger Rail between Conway and Little Rock

Passenger train between Conway and Little Rock with stops in Mayflower and Maumelle. Reduces commuter traffic on I-40. Reduces vehicular fatalities. More traditional development than suburban sprawl

Let's see more traditional development - walkable neighborhoods with safe, inviting, human-scale streets - rather than continuous sprawl on the outskirts that forces us to consume oil and comes with all of the inherit problems of car-dependency.

Tolerance and Diversity

I imagine Central Arkansas as a region with greater appreciation for all the different types of people living here. Respectful of one another regardless of race (free of the "N" word, for example"), economic class, or nationality. Differences are what make people unique! (says the anthropologist)

Expand and enhance the River Market

We need to take use of the natural resources in and around the river market such as the river itself. Maybe we should look at Bricktown in OKC or the River Walk in San Antinio as inspirations as a vibrent idea of how a fun family oriented entertainment and dining area could be.
