Build a full loop around little rock and a new bridge

With talks about 10 laning Interstate 30 in downtown Little rock, the North and south loop freeways need to be built and build a new river bridge somewhere across the river in downtown or somewhere upstream. Little Rock should have built these things decades ago I don't know why it has not happen yet.

Impact Fees - Make Sprawl Cover Costs Upfront

Institute meaningful impact fees to cover the cost of expanding city infrastructure to new greenfield developments. Low-density sprawl means higher per capita expense for police and fire coverage and more money on road, sewer, and water maintenance. What do we get for this sprawl? The inability to walk anywhere, more traffic, and no sense of community.

Emphasis on Local Food System

A strong local food system positively impacts the community's health, economy and environment. A plan to transition from the industrial scale food system to a healthier and more sustainable one is paramount to building a better future.

Complete the North Belt Freeway Loop around Little Rock

This project needs to be built because one it is way past long overdue. Second it keeps all of the through truck traffic away from downtown and has more alternative routes for commuters.

More lighting

My question is why is there not enough lighting on our roadways? The only lighting is in the high density areas of our freeways and not in other areas. For instance when the weather is bad it is hard to see where you're going and there needs to be more lighting on our interstate highways in central Arkansas. Lets start thinking safety here.

The River Trail is missing a piece between the Broadway Bridge Westbound to Riverdale. This needs to be completed to truly fnish this world-class park and trail system.

More, better downtown housing options

Young, single, upwardly-mobile professionals are abundant in Central Arkansas; however, there are very few updated/modern yet affordable housing options for us in downtown Little Rock. I propose a mixed used development w condos in the $175-200k range, a grocery store like Whole Foods, restaurants, coffee shop, dry cleaning, drug store, etc somewhere in the Rivermarket or Main St areas. This would provide a much needed ...more »

with healthy transportation options.

Build a rail trail on the old line from Saline County to the Clinton library! What a great addition to the River Trail that would be! Make walking and biking a safe option. Expand bus transportation to Faulkner, Saline, and Lonoke Counties.
