Finish the River Trail!

The River Trail is missing a piece between the Broadway Bridge Westbound to Riverdale. This needs to be completed to truly fnish this world-class park and trail system.

Create an outdoor pedestrian shopping street

I think it's time that Little Rock creates a 'core' retail high street. I'd like to see E Markham St between Main St and the Interstate closed to vehicular traffic (except the street car). This could do wonders for downtown commerce. Instead of cars and traffic lights, pave the street from store front to store front, and allow street artists, alfresco cafes, fountains, etc to populate the middle of it. It would add ...more »

Get ZipCar to open in Little Rock

Stop historically protecting entire districts

Personally, I think having a 'historic district' does more harm than good. I understand the motivation - you do not want it bulldozed to make way for a strip mall. I agree, I don't want to see downtown Conway or downtown Little Rock flattened and turned into Generic-Suburbia-USATown.
