Rubber sidewalks

Many of the sidewalks here are just cement slabs that look like they were put in as an afterthought. In a previous city I lived in, they experimented with many different styles of sidewalks (pavers were most popular). Create an outdoor pedestrian shopping street

I think it's time that Little Rock creates a 'core' retail high street. I'd like to see E Markham St between Main St and the Interstate closed to vehicular traffic (except the street car). This could do wonders for downtown commerce. Instead of cars and traffic lights, pave the street from store front to store front, and allow street artists, alfresco cafes, fountains, etc to populate the middle of it. It would add ...more »

Publically display health/sanitary report for restuarants

No one likes the thought of rodent droppings in the pantry, mold in the soda fountain, unwashed hands preparing your food. These are real problems I found when I've read the health inspection/sanitation report of some very popular restaurants around us.
