Campaign: I Imagine Central Arkansas...

More traditional development than suburban sprawl

Let's see more traditional development - walkable neighborhoods with safe, inviting, human-scale streets - rather than continuous sprawl on the outskirts that forces us to consume oil and comes with all of the inherit problems of car-dependency.

Campaign: What do you think should be central Arkansas' top priorities?

Impact Fees - Make Sprawl Cover Costs Upfront

Institute meaningful impact fees to cover the cost of expanding city infrastructure to new greenfield developments. Low-density sprawl means higher per capita expense for police and fire coverage and more money on road, sewer, and water maintenance. What do we get for this sprawl? The inability to walk anywhere, more traffic, and no sense of community.
